The Psalms are the songbook of the scriptures and at their heart they sing of God’s promised King. This term as we study these “Songs of the King”, we will trace the shape of the Lord’s anointed in his joys and sorrows, in his battles and victory, in his holiness and hope. These are songs that will help us to know our perfect King Jesus better and to know how we should live our lives as his subjects - sharing in his confidence, his comfort, his sufferings, his joy, and his glory.
